Recycling in Middle Tennessee:
Williamson, Maury and Rutherford Counties

Recycling is a key step in reducing landfill waste and keeping our Middle Tennessee communities litter free.  When looking for the closest drop-off location to recycle, you’ll need to know that “convenience center” is the term used for a recycling center. There are several convenience centers located throughout Williamson, Maury, and Rutherford Counties.

Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY CONVENIENCE CENTERS

  • Hours of Operations: 
    • Monday – Friday, 7am to 5pm
    • Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 6pm 

 

  •  Up to three cubic yards of waste per day is allowed at convenience centers.
    • Excess waste to the landfill must be taken to 5750 Pinewood Road, Franklin
    • Commercial waste is not allowed at any convenience center and must be taken to the landfill.

 

  • Unless noted otherwise, all convenience centers allow the following materials:
    • Residential waste: household garbage, brush, and construction and demolition waste. 
    • Residential recycling: metal, cans, aluminum, plastics #1 and #2 only (No plastic bags), glass, paper, cardboard, used motor oil, and cooking oil.

Drop-off stations at convenience centers in Nolensville, Grassland, Fairview, Thompson’s Station, and at the Landfill Convenience Centers in Franklin, City eWaste offers residents a free and easy way to dispose of unwanted electronics.
