“We try to find out what the greater public would like to see at these sites other than homes,” Hartigan says. “It might be a park, a pickleball court or a hiking or biking trail. At one site we worked with the city to help solve a road problem. At another we’re creating a frisbee golf course. Yes, we’re a homebuilder, but a lot of what we do is try to create value. Our goal is to build something that everyone can be proud of and that brings value to the entire area.”
