Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Tarola earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a double major from Muhlenberg College before obtaining his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He remained at Thomas Jefferson University to complete his residency training in general surgery. Dr. Tarola later relocated to Nashville with his wife and children to complete a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
After completing his fellowship training at Vanderbilt, Dr. Tarola and his family chose to make the Nashville area their permanent home. In 2011, he founded Tarola Plastic Surgery with a mission centered around excellence in both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic care. Dr. Tarola is dedicated to providing outstanding patient experiences by combining advanced techniques, compassionate care, and individualized treatment plans.
Outside of the office, Dr. Tarola enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He and his family are actively involved in the local community through volunteer work and charitable initiatives. Together, they founded the non-profit organization Reconstructing for Life. Between 2014 and 2019, this organization raised more than $150,000, with much of the proceeds benefiting Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford’s Foundation Power of Pink Fund and supporting local breast cancer initiatives.
